D'ARCY, William F. 90, formerly of Yardville, NJ, and Palm Harbor, passed away on Nov. 1, 2009 in Brick, NJ. Since 2006, he resided in Lakewood, NJ. He had been a manager of New Jersey Bell Telephone Company, and was a past president of the Telephone Co. Pioneers. While a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Yardville, he served as treasurer of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was also a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Florida and St. Luke's Catholic Church in Toms River, NJ. William served his country in both WWII and the Korean War, having begun his military career with the 112th Horse Artillery in 1938. He retired a full Colonel from the Army Reserve in 1979. William is survived by his devoted wife Constance Foster D'Arcy; loving daughters Barbara Hengle of Mt. Vernon, IL, Mary Jurman of Spring Lake, NJ, and Connie Wiener of Toms River, NJ; and by dear sisters Catherine Vickers of Monroe Twp., NJ and Julia Smetanka of Hamilton Twp., NJ. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, Nov. 6th, at 10 am in St. Luke's Catholic Church, Toms River, NJ. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Arrangements are being handled by D'Elia Funeral Home.
