William A. Orton of Cortlandt Manor, NY passed away on February 16, 2013 at the age of 63. Mr. Orton worked as a Marketing Director at Met Life in New York City and at KPMG in Montvale, NJ, where he was an accomplished mentor and innovator.He was born on October 25, 1949 in Paterson, NJ to Arthur and Jessie West Orton. Bill graduated from Bethany College in WV. He married Wanda Cope in 1988, after a long courtship. Bill was an avid and accomplished cyclist. He relished scaling the mountains of the Swiss Alps and Colorado. He enjoyed all outdoor activities, as well as music and the arts. He was known for his outstanding cooking and gathering of his friends to enjoy it. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Cope Orton of Cortlandt Manor and three sisters; Patricia Orton of Claremont, CA, Alice Burns of Mt. Olivet, WV and Mary Nix of Newcomb, NY. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation is Wednesday, 7-9pm only, at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY.
