ANDERSON, WILBERT LEE 'BUCK' Age 91, of Montevallo, AL passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Edythe Carpenter Anderson; children, Cliff Anderson and Sherry (Mike) Yessick; grandchildren, Tami, Amy, Danny, Beth, Julie, Jenny, Justin; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Haley, Emma, Brett, Bailey, Chloe, Claire, T.J. and Jesse; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was loved by all who knew him and will be truly missed. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church, Montevallo, AL where he served as a deacon for many years and was Deacon Emeritus. He also enjoyed the privilege of teaching a Sunday School Class, especially the Senior Men's Class for as long as he was able. He loved to visit in the community and share the love of the Lord with others. He was also a lifetime member of the Calera Masonic Lodge #445 F. & A.M. He retired from Westinghouse in 1983. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walker and Lela Anderson; sisters, Dora Edwards and Kathleen Birchfield and a son, Thomas Neil Anderson. Visitation will be 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, at Rockco Funeral Home, Montevallo. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 17, 2011 at Enon Baptist Church, Montevallo, AL at 11:00 a.m. The body will lie-in-state from 10-11:00 a.m. Officiating minister will be Bro. Bill Trawick. Burial will follow in the Enon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be members from the Masonic Lodge.
