PETERS, Walter (Walt) JamesApril 6, 1925 – January 1, 2015It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Walter James Peters, age 89, who died peacefully in Langley Memorial Hospital on January 1, 2015. Walt was a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather and he will be greatly missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. Walt is survived by his wife Eleanor; daughters Betty Ann and Val and son Greg (Lori). He is also survived by three granddaughters, Carly Stodolak, Cristen and Courtney Peters; a grandson, Jason Peters; as well as a great-grandson, Oliver Stodolak. Other family members include three nephews, Geoff (Marion), Doug (Marina) and Chris (Rose) Peters and sister- in-law Win Peters. Walt was an avid swimmer and golfer and a member of the Vancouver Golf Club for 58 years. A Celebration of the Life of this very special and wonderful man will be held on Sunday, January 25 at 1:00 p.m. at the Vancouver Golf Club at 771 Austin Avenue in Coquitlam.
