-->Virginia Virl Dickson Davis LAURENS, SC-- Virginia Virl Dickson Davis, 92 formerly of 36 Peachtree Street Clinton died Sunday, February 3, 2008 at the Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center where she was a resident. She was born in Spartanburg County and was a daughter of the late Benjamin C. and Hester Haynes Dickson. Mrs. Davis was retired from the Presbyterian Home in Clinton and was a member of the Lydia Baptist Church in Clinton. She was the wife of the late Lester F. Davis, Sr. Mrs. Davis is survived by two sons, Billy C. Davis of Union and Lester Floyd Davis Jr. of Simpsonville; two daughters, Shirley D. Langston of Union and Ann Stone of Clinton; three sisters, Beluah Moore and Cornelia Young of Clinton, and Aileene Gossett of Spartanburg; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Maxie D. Davis; a brother, Gerald Dickson; and two sisters, Belvia Allen and Corine Clary Cash. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 3:00 PM in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Laurens by Rev. Aubry Calvert, Rev. James Dubose and Dr. Russell Dean. Interment will be in the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 6, 2008 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. The family will be at 510 Charlotte's Road in Clinton and 1113 West Main Street in Union.
