-> MILLER - Virginia on Saturday, December 6, 2014, the Miller family lost their matriarch, Virginia Miller (nee Davis). Born 1920 in Flushing, Queens, "Gin" was the eldest daughter of 13 children of Charles and Lydia Ann Davis. The last 29 years, she had lived on the Poospatuck Indian Reservation in Mastic, NY. As a blood-right member of the Unkechaug Nation and an elder, she imparted wisdom upon the younger generations. Although her body left us at the age of 94, her power and spirit will always be present. She was survived by her children, Jon, Arnold, Eric and Karla Miller, their spouses, her 3 surviving siblings, Victoria Scott, Sylvia and Gilbert Davis; 4 generations of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren. Funeral was held at Sinnickson's Moriches Funeral Home on Monday, December 8, 2014. Services and interment at the Zion Episcopal Church in Douglaston, Queens on Wednesday, December 10, 2014.
