Virginia Davis, affectionately known as "Nana," 72, of Panama City Beach, passed away on Oct. 3, 2008, at her residence. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, knitting and she especially loved the beach. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Ralph Wendell Davis of Panama City Beach; two daughters, Kim Hall and her husband, Dale, of Ooltewah, Tenn., and Kelly Butler and her husband, Gary, of Panama City, Fla.; five grandchildren, Amber Sanford, Ashley Sanford, Jon Hall, Wendell Sanford and Zac Hall. A Celebration of her Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, in the chapel of Southerland Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Hall officiating. The family would like to give a special thanks to Emerald Coast Hospice for all of their help and support. In lieu of flowers, you may make memorial contributions in Virginia's name to The Friends of St. An-drews State Park or Emerald Coast Hospice.
