DECATUR, GA. Una Belle Mahan Davis, of Decatur, Ga., 104, died Monday morning at Oddessy House Hospice Care in Decatur after a brief hospital stay at DeKalb Medical Center. She had been in relatively good health and living with her oldest daughter, Peggy Davis Woods of Decatur until she started retaining fluids. Death was caused by Congestive Heart Failure Mrs. Davis, born in Clanton, Ala., lived in Montevallo for l8 years and then in Tuscaloosa most of her life where her late husband, W.M. Davis, was an executive with Alabama Power Company. She had always been very independent and had lived alone and without assistance after her husband's death IN 1977. At age 95 she went to live in Georgia with her oldest daughter Peggy Davis Woods. She was still driving until the age of 90.Mrs. Davis was one of three children born to John and Susie Mahan. She married Willard Milton Davis and they had eight children, six boys and two girls. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. Her church home was the Central Church of Christ in Tuscaloosa. She gave birth to six boys and two girls. One son, Willard, died during heart surgery in recent years.Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Peggy Woods of Decatur, Mrs. Faye Kennedy of Birmingham; five sons, John Milton Davis of Beaumont Texas, C. Wayne Davis (Martha) of Morrilton. Arkansas, Roy Davis (Dixie) of Shreveport La., Paul Davis (Gayle) of Auburn, Ala., and Hubert Davis (Vyneta) of Lawrenceville, Ga., one daughter-in-law, Barbara Davis of Tuscaloosa, widow of Willard Davis; 20 grandchildren 32 great-grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildrenFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ in Clanton. Family members will conduct the service. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.
