HARRIS, Thelma Josephine Watkins, 97, of Dade City, Fla., passed away September 18, 2009. She was born April 17, 1912, to Elmer and Edna Watkins of Richwood, Ohio, and moved to Dade City from Ridge Manor three years ago. She graduated from Ohio Northern University and was a retired elementary school teacher in Wellington, Ohio, and Bay Village, Ohio. She is survived by her son, Michael Dean Harris (Susan) of Barrington, Ill.; one daughter-in-law, Paula Harris of Seneca, S.C.; three grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Harris, and her son, Roger Lee Harris. A memorial service will take place at a later date in Richwood, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory go to Gulfside Regional Hospice, c/o 37826 Sky Ridge Circle, Dade City, FL 33525 or a charity of your choice.
