TERRY THOMPSON, 73 TAMPA - Terry Thompson, 73, of Tampa, passed away May 7, 2013 at Florida Hospital of Tampa, due to heart failure. He was born in Lakeland FL on August 21, 1939. Terry was a Mechanical Engineer specializing in heating and cooling and worked with many companies in Lakeland, Orlando and Tampa. He served in the Army Reserve stationed at Fort Myer, Arlington, VA, Mortar Battery (Honor Guard) and was an active member of Bayshore Baptist Church for many years. Terry is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Erin Ferlita (Rick) of Tampa; son, Sean of Apopka; two grandsons: Cameron and Zachary Ferlita; two sisters, Linda Sue Goodwin Nichols of Kissimmee and Donna Ann Holms of Lakeland; three nieces and a nephew and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald W. Thompson and Dovie L. Thompson. A Memorial service will be held 1:00 pm on May 13, 2013 at Bayshore Baptist Church, 3111 W. Morrison Ave., Tampa 33629. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Bayshore Baptist Church.
