Sister Elizabeth Gallagher, RSHM, 97, died at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY, Tuesday, April 29, 2003. She had been a member of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary for 77 years. Sr. Elizabeth taught at Marymount School, NY, NY; Marymount School, Los Angeles; Academy of the Sacred Heart of Mary, Sag Harbor, NY; and Marymount School, Quebec, Canada. She served in Arlington, VA, where she was the first president of Marymount Junior College. She founded Marymount International School, Surrey, England, and was superior of the religious community at Marymount International School, Rome, Italy. In 1966 she became bursar of Marymount School, NY, NY, and served in the business office until 1992.
