Sarah Ellen Smith, 62, Bradenton, died Jan. 25, 2003. She was born in Hutsonville, Ill., and came to Manatee County from Woodstock, N.Y. She was a medical receptionist for Doctors Ganey, Gestrich and Orban in Bradenton. Survivors include her mother, Mary Forkner of Bradenton; daughters Caitlin Gilbert-Safaie of New York and Molly Gilbert-Chatalic of France; a brother, Dale of New Carlisle, Ohio; and three grandchildren. Buddhist services were held at the time of her death. National Cremation Society, Sarasota chapter, is in charge.
