Sarah Jeanette Davis, 87, formerly of 44 Blair St., wife of Stanley Lewis Davis, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at Brighton Gardens. Mrs. Davis worked in retail at Ivey's and S&H Greenstamps. She was a member of Pendleton Street Baptist Church, where she was active as a children's and adult women's Sunday schoolteacher, the church hostess, and the WMU. Surviving, in addition to her husband of 71 years, are four grandchildren, Debbi Schulte, Lauren Trudeau, Emily Watkins, and Matthew Davis; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Lewis Davis and Robert Stanley Davis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pendleton Street Baptist Church, 1100 S. Main St., Greenville. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at 3 Autumn Creek Way. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
