OKEECHOBEE - Sandra Jean Brown died July 20, 2014. She was born February 18, 1948 in Laconia, New Hampshire to Maynard and Evelyn Dalton Brown. A resident of Okeechobee since 2008, she was a member of Okeechobee Stitchin'. Ms. Brown is survived by her son, John Beard; granddaughter, Megan Beard; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth Brown (Andrea) of Franklin, New Hampshire, James Brown of Ethan, Oklahoma and William Brown of New Hampshire; three sisters, Nancy Cochran, Lois Donaghy both of Franklin New Hampshire and Judy Landry (Alan) of Abbotville, Maine. A Celebration of Life will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home with Pastor Loy D. Mershimer of Okeechobee Presbyterian Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Okeechobee Presbyterian Church Food Pantry, the Humane Society or research for premature babies.
