Sandra Claire Lowe Wright, age 65, of 130 Lonnie Lane, Apt 135, Americus, died at Phoebe Putney Medical Center in Albany Thursday, March 8, 2012.A native of Americus, she was born February 4, 1947, the daughter of the late Cecil M. and Mary Novean Osborn Lowe. Mrs. Wright was a homemaker, a member of Pitts Baptist Church, devoted Christian and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed entertaining her friends with cooking and gatherings, gardening and her flowers. She also loved animals.Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 10:00 AM at Heritage Church of God with Rev. Bud Womack officiating. Burial will follow at 4:00 PM in Winder, Ga. at Hebron Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, March 9, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel and at other times the family residence, 130 Lonnie Lane, Apt 135. Pallbearers include Dustin Parks, Chip Smith, Jonathan Ladron, Bobby McKinney, Clint Storey and Allen Usry. Honorary pallbearers include Bill Medlock, Zane Newman, Allan Erkhart, Danny Montgomery and Eddie Rountree. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sumter Humane Society, 108 Industrial Blvd., Americus, Ga. 31719 or to Georgia Sherriff's Boy's Ranch, 5671 Ga. Hwy 122 E., Hahira, GA. 31632.Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Darrell Storey and their God Child Charley Ladron of Americus, Anita and Darryl Parks of Hoschton, and Shirley and Chuck Gunter of Winder; four grandchildren, Dustin and Hannah Parks and Kelsey and Whitney Gunter; also several aunts and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie C.
