Ruth Louise Bull Stroud, 86, formerly of Law Street, Enoree, and recently a resident at National Health Care in Laurens, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, at Laurens County Hospital.Mrs. Stroud was the daughter of the late William Randolph Bull and Nora Meadows Bull Morrow. She was raised in the home of her maternal grandparents, the late Will and Mary Thrift Meadows.She was a member of Enoree United Methodist Church and was retired from Mills Mill No. 2 in Woodruff.She was preceded in death by her husband, Edd Stroud Jr.; her brother, Ira Bull; and her sisters, Vallie Huitt and Lola Mae Fleming.She leaves behind to cherish her memory a son and his wife, James and Jeannie Benjamin, of Hickory Tavern; a daughter and son-in-law, Willie Fay and Billie Lawson, of Laurens; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a half brother; and three half sisters.The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight, Oct. 18, 2003, at Lanford Funeral Home.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003, at Enoree United Methodist Church, by her pastor, the Rev. Bill Bynum, and her nephew, the Rev. Larry Fleming, presiding.Burial will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.The body will be in the church at 2 p.m. She was a loving mother and grandmother, whose presence will be greatly missed. Not only did she excel in her love for her fellowman, she excelled in the grace of giving.
