SMITH Ruth Emilson Smith, age 83, of Trumbull, CT entered into eternal rest on Monday March 19, 2012 at her home. Born in Bridgeport, CT on August 9, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Anna Emilson. She leaves behind her beloved husband Robert J. Smith of 60 years. Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Karen Blatte and her husband Neil of Orlando, FL, Robin Moran and her husband Chris of Orange, CT; five grandchildren, David, Jessica, Christopher, Darren and Scott whom she adored and will dearly miss her. Ruth enjoyed being with her family. Birthday celebrations and holidays were special to her as well as her vacations and trips to the casino for penny slot play. Ruth was passionate about knitting and made the most beautiful afghans. Caring for her husband, children and grandchildren and being a dear friend was everything to Ruth. Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Trumbull Funeral Home 399 White Plains Rd. with the Reverend Ellen Kennedy officiating. Interment in Nichols Village Cemetery.
