RUTH M. HENDERSONJUNE 21, 1934 - OCTOBER 23, 2008Ruth M. Henderson, 74, of Pensacola, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2008. She was the widow of Johnny Henderson and was a faithful member of Greater Union Baptist Church until her demise.She was educated in the public schools of Escambia County, graduating from Booker T. Washington High School, Class of 1951.Ruth is survived by eight devoted and loving children, Michael (Nia) Garrido of Jacksonville, FL, Derrick Williams, Terrance Henderson, Alicia (Tommy) Johnson, Rosa (Malcom) Scott, Michele (Willie) Stiffin, Priscilla Garrido-Scott and Yolander Williams; nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral service for Mrs. Henderson will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Greater Union Baptist Church, 1300 N. Guillemard St., with Rev. Matthew Payne, II, pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens Cemetery with Joe Morris & Son Funeral Home directing.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from 7:00-8:00 p.m.
