Ruth E. Bennett Murrells Inlet Ruth Eileen Bennett, age 100, died Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Waccamaw Community Hospital. Born in Arlington, VA, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Nelle Burrows. A proud centenarian, Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry G. Bennett, Jr., 5 sisters and 4 brothers. Survivors include her son, Harry Bennett and his wife (Nan) of Murrells Inlet; a grandson, Richard Bennett of Mesa, AZ and many wonderful nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held in Cape May, New Jersey. A memorial mass will be held at a later date at St. Michael Catholic Church. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff and friends at Grand Strand Health Care for the loving care given to Ruth.
