(M.D., D.T.M., M.P.H., F.R.C.P.(C), R.C.N.V.R.) Born August 29, 1918, died peacefully on Friday October 11, 2002 in his 85th year. Graduate of Montreal High, McGill and Harvard Universities. Beloved husband for almost 52 years of Elizabeth Graham Law Lennox. Father of Ross (Janet), Anne (Paul), Bruce (Harriet), and James (Lynda). Grandfather of Brent, Jill, Robert, Michael, Fiona, Cameron and Laurel. Brother-in-law of Robin and Susanne Law of Toronto and Nancy and Bob Love of Victoria. Served with distinction in WWII on the H.M.C.S. Uganda as a Surgeon Lieutenant 1943-45. Active in pediatrics and academia in Montreal, New Orleans, and Cali, Colombia. From 1968 until retirement, worked as Chief, Maternal and Child Health, Department of National Health and Welfare. Was very proud to have served as a member of the Badgley Commission and in the development of maternal and child health programs internationally. Before and after retirement, he took great pleasure in traveling the world over, and in his four children and seven grandchildren, whom he adored. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair, and McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Ave. at Richmond Rd. on Tuesday October 15, from 11:30 a.m. until service time in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Donations to the Unitarian Service Committee at 56 Sparks St., Ottawa, or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
