OLEAN - Friends and family are welcome to gather at a memorial service for Ricky "Rick" Francis Colley at 7 p.m. Friday (May 18, 2012) at Grace Alliance Church, 1513 Main St., Olean. Mr. Colley was born Jan. 10, 1951, and passed away Thursday (May 10, 2012) in Erie Pa. He was a son of the late William E Colley and Lorraine E Langdon Smelzle. Rick graduated Wilson High school in 1969 where he was an all-star wrestler, also competing in football and track.After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marines. His older brother had been wounded in the war, and Rick thought he needed to be there for his family. Rick served four years, including a tour in Vietnam. He was a truck driver for many years for Kenny Trucking and various other companies.Rick was a man who loved to be around his friends and family, and he was always able to put a smile on anyone's face. He is survived by seven children, Stephen (Vickie) Colley of Hinsdale, Joseph (Janel) Anderson of Erie, Pa., and Joshua Anderson, Megan Colley, Logan Colley, Erin Colley and Ricky Colley, all of Olean; his former wife, Danita (Blade) Colley; two brothers, Lon (Kathy) Colley and Michael (Sandra) Colley; a sister, Nancy (Bill) Black; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many other friends and family who will miss him dearly.He was predeceased by a son, Geoffrey Anderson; his father, William E Colley; and his mother, Lorraine E. Smelzle.
