->PALERMO -- Richard Paul O'Donnell, of Palermo, passed away peacefully at home on Christmas morning, Dec. 25, 2007.He was born in Portland on May 15, 1931, the son of the late James and Madeline (Bennett) O'Donnell.Richard served with the United States Coast Guard from 1950 through 1952.He was predeceased by his wife, Gertrude; his sisters, Mary Berrier, Trudy Hoag and Joan O'Donnell; his brothers, William O'Donnell, James O'Donnell, Charles O'Donnell and Robert O'Donnell; and his great-granddaughter, Areil Samantha York.He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Marie O'Donnell; his granddaughters, Megan York and her husband, Randall Jr., and Katelynn Dougherty; his great-granddaughters, Emily York and Melanie York; and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a funeral service to begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main St., Fairfield.
