Paul William "Sonny" Lenz III, 62, of Panama City Beach, Fla., passed away Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born in LaVernia, Texas, and had lived in Bay County for the last five years. Sonny worked in shipping and receiving at the Wal-Mart in Panama City Beach. He was a confirmed and baptized Lutheran. He enjoyed yard work and barbecuing for his family. Survivors include his wife, Jean Lenz of Panama City Beach; four sons, Jerry Lenz of Panama City Beach, Gary Lenz and wife, Crystal, of Greenville, S.C., and Terry and Jeff Lenz, both of Panama City Beach; adopted sons, Kobi Holmes and Elec Fincher of Panama City Beach; a granddaughter, Ashlley Lenz of Conyers, Ga.; a stepgrandson, Randall Martin of Greenville, S.C.; brothers, Alex Charles Lenz of Colorado and Max Edward Lenz of Georgia; sisters, Darlene Ann Hilburn of Texas and LeeAnn Star Lenz of Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Danny Koyn officiating.
