TUSCALOOSA | Olive Gean Peters, age 85, of Tuscaloosa, died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Michelle Hunter officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.She was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Peters; parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Gordon; and her brother, George Gordon.Survivors include her daughter, Carol Robin DeHart; son, Herbert L. Butler; sister, Amorita Gordon; 14 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.Gean enjoyed fishing, listening to Big Band and Jazz music. She enjoyed painting, playing the piano and working in the yard.Pallbearers will be Jeremiah White, Blake Butler, Chuck DeHart, Mitch Busby, Kerry Hill, and Taylor Hill.Honorary pallbearers are Hospice of West Alabama and Jane Lucas.Condolences may be offered at www.memorychapelfuneralhome.com
