->FAIRFIELD -- Noel Nadeau, age 68, of Fairfield went to be with his Lord Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, at his home in Fairfield, with his family by his side.He was born Jan. 1, 1938, in Fort Kent, a son of David and Zoe (Belanger) Nadeau.He was educated in the school of Fort Kent. On Aug. 29, 1959, he married Arlene Michaud in Waterville. Noel worked more than 38 years for Colby College as a carpenter, retiring in April 1998. He was a past member of Notre Dame Catholic Church of Waterville.Noel was a hunter and fisherman. He loved to work outside and enjoyed doing wood crafts. He drew his own blueprints for his home he built for he and his wife to live in.Noel is survived by his wife, Arlene Nadeau, of Fairfield; son Michael Nadeau of Fairfield; daughter Linda Nadeau of Fairfield; brothers Gerry of Waterville, Norman and his wife, Theresa, of St. John, Docite and his wife, Beverly, of Vassalboro, and Paul and his wife, Tessie, of Brandenton, Fla.; sisters Priscille and her husband, Rosaire Daigle, of Sinclair, Anita and her husband, Joe Wakellee, of Waterville, Juliette Rougette of Bristol, Conn., Alice and her husband, Joe Sabitsky, of Kennington, Conn., and Jeannine and her husband, Fernand Harvey, of Melbourne, Fla.; in-laws Fern Michaud of Clinton, and Germaine and Richard Jacques of Sidney; and special nieces Jackie McKenzie of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jackie Harvey of Plainsville, Conn.He was predeceased by his parents, David and Zoe Nadeau; sisters Fernande Caron, Antoinette Beaulieu and Lucille Nadeau; brothers Ven Nadeau and Aime Nadeau; half-sisters Mary Rose Caron and Alvina Pelletier; and half-brother Adelard Nadeau.At Noel's request there will be no visitation or funeral service.Friends wishing may make donations in his memory to MaineGeneral Medical Center -- Thayer Unit Cancer Fund, 149 North St., Waterville, ME 04901.Arrangements under the direction of Dan & Scott's Cremation and Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan.
