MITCHELL, NANCY JEANNE, 71, of Longwood, peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2006 after a long battle with cancer. She was born to the late Ira and Jessie Gilhousen on February 25, 1934 in Akron, Ohio. She moved to Florida in 1976 and lived happily with her beloved husband of 48 years, William G. Mitchell. Nancy was a kind and loving soul who devoted her life to being a wife and a full-time stay-at-home mother. She loved architecture and after attending school at Seminole Community College successfully designed and built her dream home. She was an avid animal lover who welcomed and lovingly cared for many cats over her lifetime. She loved music, dancing, romance novels, and movies with happy endings. She was loved by all who knew her for her gentle and caring ways. Nancy is survived by her husband, William G. Mitchell of Longwood; her son, Steven W. Mitchell and daughter-in-law, Leslee Mitchell of Lake Mary; daughters, Stacy J. Fournier and son-in-law, Donald J. Fournier of Lake Mary, Deborah Mitchell of Middleton, CA, Rebecca Haught and son-in- law Gary Haught of Canton, OH; and her grandchildren, Mitchell S. Dunfee of Lake Mary, Ryan and Shayna Grajo of Lake Mary, Cecilia Grim of Santa Ana, CA, Shawn Mishler of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and Lindey, Maggie, and Evan Fournier of Franklin, TN. At Nancy's request there will be no funeral services but instead she asked that everyone be comforted in knowing that she led a blissfully happy and fulfilling life with her adoring husband, children, family, animals, and good friends by her side. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to the Hospice of the Comforter or the Seminole Humane Society in Nancy's name.
