Nancy Gayle Hall Peters, age 64, of 2731 Jamedon Drive, Panama City, Fla., passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at her residence. She was born on July 25, 1943, at Keesler Field, Miss., to Gaylord and Geraldine West Hall. A homemaker, Gayle shared her laughter, love and creative spirit with her family and her community. She was among the first-year students at the newly established Okaloosa-Walton Junior College in Valparaiso, Fla. Her years of dedication to the Girl Scouts of America touched the lives of hundreds of children. Her compassion and kind heartedness will be missed by her family, friends and those who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Joseph David Peters Jr.; daughter, Alycia Dawn Polk; son, Joseph David III; granddaughter, Kara Nicole Polk; grandson, Daniel Polk Jr.; sisters, Judith Golding of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Debra Reed of Melbourne, Fla.; parents, Gaylord and Gerry Hall of Fort Walton Beach. The family will receive friends on Friday, Nov. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Kent Forest Lawn.
