LYONS Nancy Florena Mercer Lyons, 86, passed away on September 1, 2002 in Orange Park, FL. She was born in St. Joe, FL and before making her home with her daughter in 1998, she made her home in Jacksonville, where she was very active in the Oak Crest United Methodist Church. She was a member of theChallengers Sunday School Class; Friendship Seekers Circle; Evangelism and Visitation Committee; Greeter; Hospitality Committee and served on the PPR Board. She was also a member of the Hemerocallis Garden Club and also was active in the Presbyterian Women and the Rebecca Circle at Orange Park Presbyterian Church, where she was a member. Mrs. Lyons was predeceased by her husband, Leland M. Lyons and daughter, Nancy Lea Lyons Holsinger. She is survived by her children: Patricia L. Marshall (Alvin) and Lynn Alyn Lyons (Janet); 4 brothers: Zeno (Maggie), Ray (Wanda), Lamar and Gayle (Frances) Mercer; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. Memorial services will be held TODAY, 11 AM at Orange Park Presbyterian Church with Rev. Richard McEuen and Rev. John Muilenburg officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Orange Park Presbyterian Church, 1905 Park Ave., Orange Park, FL 32073; Oak Crest United Methodist Church, 5900 Ricker Road, Jacksonville, FL, 32244 or Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
