CHILDERSBURG - Graveside service for Mary Loudermilk Carpenter, 52, was 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, at 11 a.m. in Greenhill Cemetery. Mrs. Carpenter died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at UAB. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Childersburg. She was a loving wife and mother who loved to paint. She worked with students at Watwood and Childersburg Middle School for 10 years. She is survived by her husband, David Carpenter of Childersburg; daughters, Beth Carpenter and Kim Carpenter of Childersburg; a sister, Sue Guy of Childersburg; a brother, Bobby Loudermilk of Birmingham; four nieces and one nephew. Pallbearers were Eddie Slaten, Chad Slaten, Steve Acklin, David Sims, Adam Loudermilk and Kenny Guy. Visitation was Sunday, Aug. 29, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel.
