Mrs. Geraldine Elizabeth Harris, age 87, of Citrus Springs, Florida, died Sunday, June 14, 2009, in Gainesville, FL. She was born May 4, 1922, in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Dyer) O'Brien. She worked as a Telephone Operator for New England Telephone & Telegraph and Allen & Reed Plumbing Supply. She moved to Citrus Springs from Providence, RI, 25 years ago. Mrs. Harris was a Hospice Volunteer and a member of the L.I.F.T. Club and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by husband, Howard Harris (02/22/94); brother, Edward O'Brien; and sister, Mary I. Roggermoser. Survivors include 2 sons: Howard (Roberta) Harris Jr. of Exeter, RI; Mark (Alice) Harris of Exeter, RI; sister-in-law, Mary O'Brien of Chapala, Mexico; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-neices and great-nephews.
