WATKINS, MRS. CHARLOTTE RENEE Age 50, of Steele, AL passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011. She was an avid University of Alabama football fan. Charlotte loved music and her family, especially her granddaughter, Sadie. Survivors are her daughter, Christy Johns of Rainbow City; sons, Staff Sgt. Michael Johns of Okinawa Japan, David Gibson of Lincoln, AL; granddaughters, Sadie Graye Waldrop of Rainbow City; sisters, Sheila (Don) Baisden of Springville, TN, Sherri Lyons of Mandeville, LA; brothers, Earl (Kim) Peoples of Springville, Ronnie (Connie) Peoples of Pell City, Jimmy (Sonim) Peoples of Seoul, Korea; nieces and nephews, Rachel, Isaac, heaven, Terra, Suzanne, Clinton, Jessica, Amanda, Jasmine, Chrissy, Melissa, and Micah; and best friend and partner, Debbie Yeager, of Steele. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-8 at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at Usrey Funeral Home, Pell City on Monday, August 15, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Rodney Davis, presiding. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Oneonta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Palliative Care Department of UAB.
