DAVIS Mother Beatrice Davis, 97, a resident of Jacksonville passed away on January 24, 2002 at Baptist Medical Center. She was the oldest member of Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist church, Elder Lee Harris, pastor, where she served a President of the Deaconess Board and in numerous other leadership capacities prior to her illness. Other affiliations include the National, State, District Associations and Sunday School Convention of The Primitive Baptist Church of America and the Moncrief Needlework Club. She was the former owner of Three Friends Confectionery. Survivors include a daughter, Bessie Davis Fitzgerald, brother, Deacon Timothy Bell; nephews, nieces and cousins decended from the Tucker, Gardner, Mills, Jones and Brown-Bell families and nephews, nieces and cousins of the Davis, Albert and Grant families, neighbors and associates. Homegoing Services will be held THURSDAY, January 31, 2002 at 11:00AM in her church with pastor Harris, officiating. Visitation at The Mortuary on WEDNESDAY from 5:00PM to 8:00PM and at the church from 9:30AM Thursday. The cortege will assemble at the residence at 10:15AM Thursday. Burial in Edgewood Cemetery.
