Mildred Hill Williams, 89, of 8 3rd Ave., Poe, died Wednesday, June 26, 2002. Born in West Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Welborn and Kitty Garrison Hill, and wife of the late William Clarence Williams. She was a homemaker and a member of Leawood Baptist Church. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Martha Williams, of Greenville; five grandchildren, L.J. Mele Williams, Cresent W. Railey, James W. Williams Jr., Melodye W. Snyder and Suzanne W. Johns; and three great-grandchildren, Rebecca Snyder, Margaret Snyder and William Johns. Mrs. Williams is predeceased by a son, James W.Williams Sr.; three sisters; and three brothers. Memorials may be made to The Gideon's International, P.O. Box 771, Greenville, SC 29602. The family will receive friends today from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Services will be held Friday, June 28, 2002, at 10:30 a.m., in the chapel of the funeral home, with Dr. Clarence Freeman officiating and Mr. Tom Williams assisting. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Section K. The family is at the home of the son: 100 Maria Louisa Lane.
