Mattie Anne Jones, 29, Sarasota, died Oct. 29, 2003. She was born Nov. 7, 1973, in Newport News, Va., and came to Sarasota from Portsmouth, Va. She was a student and received her bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va., and was attending East West College in Sarasota. Survivors include her daughter, Olivia M. of Nokomis; her companion, Brian Cross of Nokomis; her parents, Albert and Benigna of Portsmouth; a sister, Judith Paul of Gardner, N.C.; brothers Hugh Wilson of Butte, Mont., and Ernest Wilson of Spokane, Wash. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund will be set up later in the name of Mattie Anne Jones for her daughter.
