ObituaryMARY V. CARDLANSING - Mary V. Card, 81, of Dublin Road, Lansing, died Wednesday, January 28, 2004, at Cayuga Medical Center. Born October 30, 1922 in Triangle, NY, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ellen Newlander Cummings, and wife of the late Emery "John" Card who died in 1991.Mrs. Card was an Avon salesperson for over 20 years, selling as far away as Apalachin - a drive she loved to make over and over again. She loved to knit and crotchet and was skilled at beadwork as well as making jewelry. One of her favorite pastimes was fishing, which she enjoyed immensely.Mrs. Card is survived by her sons, Danny (Pat) Card of Lansing, and John C. Card of Spencer; grandchildren, Craig C. Card, Shawn William Card, Todd Michael Card, Teresa VanOrman, and Howard Walrad Jr.; several great-grandchildren; and her niece, Sandra Chamberlin. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her sister, Helen Williams.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, January 31, at the E.C. Wagner Funeral Home of Ithaca, Rev. Earl Andrews officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 3, prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lansing Rescue Squad.
