Mary Theresa Hood, 78AUBURN - Mary Theresa Hood, 78, of Auburn, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2005 in Lake Wales, Fla.Born on Jan. 21, 1927 in Brewer, she had been a winter resident of Lake Wales for 17 years, where she was a member of the Saddlebag Community Church. She enjoyed dancing, animals, gardening and traveling. She was a great cook and was active in many activities with her friends from the Saddlebag Lake Resort. She is survived by her husband, Nelson Hood, of Auburn; daughters, Sherryl Smith and Paula Burgess, both of South Portland; stepchildren, Deborah Nuemiester, Louella Hood and Rickie Hood; sister, Virginia Williamson of Upton; three grandchildren; four step-grand- children; four great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.She was predeceased by sisters Alvena Jordan and Ann Moulton.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 11 at 1 p.m. at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 980 Turner St., Auburn.
