Mary T. ManleyWell Known Tewksbury Family TEWKSBURY -- Mary T. (Molloy) Manley age 85, a resident of Tewksbury for over 65 years, passed away at the Wingate At Belvidere on Thursday, February 20, 2014.She was the beloved wife of Eugene Manley who passed away on June 17, 1983. They were married at the Sacred Heart Church, Lowell, MA. on July 4, 1948.Mary was born in Lowell on May 22, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Michael J. Molloy and Catherine T. (Leahy) Molloy of Ireland.Mary was raised in Lowell and attended St. Michael's and St. Peter's Grammar Schools and graduated from Lowell High School in 1946.Following High School she moved to Tewksbury where she worked as a dietician at Tewksbury State Hospital.She was a communicant of St. Williams Parish and a founding member of the St. William's School Building Committee.She was an accomplished roller skater and loved to dance. Mary was a member of several area organizations including the M.I. Hummel Club, Tewksbury Red Hat Society and the Tewksbury Golden Age Club. She enjoyed playing bingo at the Tewksbury Elks, playing 45's with her family and traveling to Foxwoods Casino to try her luck.She was a fixture at the Lowell City Golf Tournament, enjoying the tournament with her dear friend Christina Brennan.She is survived by her two sons, Eugene M. (Geno) Manley and his fiancee M. Carolyn Cox of Lowell and Michael E. Manley of Lowell; one sister-in-law Doris M. Molloy of Lowell; one brother-in-law, Edward J. Early of Lowell; also many nieces and nephews.Mary was the sister of the late Nora C. Regan, Catherine T. Beattie, Rita M. Beebe, Theresa "Honey" Early, Patrick F. Molloy, Daniel P. Molloy and Michael J. Molloy.A sincere Thank You to Dr. Jessica Wieselquist and the nurses and staff at Wingate Nursing Home for the excellent care of Mary for the past two years. Calling hours Sunday, Feb. 23, 1-6 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will be held Monday, Feb. 24, at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. William's Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury.
