->LEE, Mary RebeccaMary R. Lee of Tarrytown, NY and Greenburgh, NY died on April 7, 2011. She was born April 13, 1924 in Lynchburg, VA to Robert Thurman Lee and Sallie Lou Cunningham Lee. Mary came to the Tarrytowns as a child. She was predeceased by her sisters and brothers-in law: Dorothy and Haywood Watson; Margaret and William Wright; Theda and Earl James and Edith and John Wright. Mary was a graduate of Tarrytown High School, graduating with her sister Theda and her best friend Mary Christopher. She attended Harlem and Lincoln Nursing Schools in NYC. She received her Masters in Nursing Education from the State University of NY. She served for many years as a public health nurse. She later was a school nurse teacher, in the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns until her retirement. She was a life-long member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Tarrytown, NY. Mary was an active member of the Pi Lamda Theta Education Honor Sorority; the NAACP; and The Westchester Negro Business and Professional Women's Club. She served her community with love and dedication. Mary is survived by five cousins: Theodore Lee Jr. and Joanne Lee of White Plains, Leereesa Liggons of Tarrytown, NY, David Cunningham of California, Yvonne Lee of Atlanta, GA; her nieces and nephews: Di Anne Wright, Earl and Norma James, Wayne and Olivia Wright, Jonathan and Rhonda James, Lisa Wright, Darian James, Sharon James, John Pryor Wright, William Wright Jr.; great nieces and nephews: Melissa and Joel Wozniak, Stephanie James, Adam Wright, Jason and Adrienne James, Jordan, Lindsay James ; great-great nieces and nephew: Jada, Sofia, and Isaiah Wozniak and Hannnah James. Services will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Shiloh Baptist Church on Wildey Street in Tarrytown. Wake 12-1pm, Funeral at 1:00. Interment will be in the family plot in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, NY.
