Mary P. Marino, nee Fiducioso, born on August 27, 1921, to the late Stefano and Sara Fiducioso, died peacefully on Thursday afternoon, March 8, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at Underwood Memorial Hospital. Mary was the beloved wife for 57 years of Venerando "Henry" Marino, who predeceased her by fifteen years and two days. Mary was also predeceased by her loving brothers Charlie and Tony Fiducioso, son-in-law Guy Simonelli, and daughter-in-law Barbara Marino. She is survived by her daughter Alfina Simonelli, son Russell H. and daughter-in-law Kathryn Marino, and son Steve Marino (Elena Katsnelson); grandchildren Vernon and Robin Simonelli, Phyll and Russell Gargiulo, Vernon and Donna Marino, Mary Lou Marino, Betty Schurter, Nicole Marino Gelsomini, and Kristine and Stephen Maurer; fourteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Jennie Licciardello, brothers Santo Fiducioso (Jeanette Touchstone), Joseph and Kathy Fiducioso, sisters-in-law Ida Marino and Rita Marino. Special thanks to faithful friends Catherine Garozzo and Angie Grasso. Mary was a loving and strong farmwife who was the backbone, protector and nurturer of her family. Her friends will always cherish her never-ending and selfless concern for others. She was an excellent cook, and would always make sure that there was gravy on the table for Sunday dinner or a meal and a cup of coffee for whoever needed it. She loved to laugh, smile, and joke, especially when playing cards with family and friends. She worked tirelessly for over forty years on the family farm and is known and beloved by many for her late-in-life career at the Sorbello Girls' farm stand in Elk Township. Mary's family and all who knew her were blessed to have her in their lives. We will honor her always through our deeds and love her forever in our hearts. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30am Tues, Mar 13 at St. Josephs Church, 140 Broad St. Swedesboro, NJ. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Woolwich Twp.
