Mary Margaret Mason, of Chester, entered into rest March 17, 2004. She was 73. Mary was born September 13, 1930 in NYC to Patrick and Mary Kealey O'Carroll. She was a retired nurse's aide and a homemaker. A member of the Golden Age of Chester, her hobbies included sewing, embroidery and trips to Atlantic City. She was the wife of Walter J. Mason for 51 years, who survives her. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons William and wife Lisa Mason of Darien, CT, and Michael and wife Jenny Mason of Nanuet, NY; three daughters Pattie King of Washingtonville, Maureen and husband Domenic Chiappetta of Greenwich, CT, and Diane and husband Robert Roina of Greenwich, CT; a brother Patrick and wife Christine O'Carroll of Spring Valley, NY; six grandchildren: Michael and Matthew King, Caroline, Morgan and Kayla Mason, and Courtney Roina; many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law Mary O'Carroll of NYC. She was predeceased by three brothers Thomas, Michael and John O'Carroll. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 21, 2004, 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 22, 2004 at 11 AM at the St. Columba Church, Chester. Burial will be in Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen.
