Mary Margaret Johnson, 82, Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2008, in her home at the Montclair. She was born November 12, 1925, to Gladys Bales and Elmer Collins in Ash Grove, Missouri. She was raised in the Springfield area and married Noel "Red" Johnson in 1942. She was the owner of a general accounting firm in Santa Ana, California, and a member of Who's Who of American Business Women. She and Red lived in California, for 30 years and retired back to Rogersville, in 1976. She was a member of Eastern Star, earning her 50 year pin a few years ago. She was a member of Ladies Shrine of Abou Ben Adhem Shrine. She was a former member of Unity Church, Springfield, but recently attended church at the Montclair. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Smith; her father, Elmer Collins; and her husband, Noel "Red" Johnson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Judy Johnson of Panama City, Florida; granddaughter, Christine Sutton; and two great-grandsons, Camden and Hayden Sutton all of Broomfield, Colorado. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, June 23, 2008, in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with the Reverend Bud Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Holland Cemetery, Rogersville, Missouri. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m., in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, C/O Abou Ben Adhem Shrine, 601 St. Louis Street, Springfield, Missouri 65806.
