Mary (Moran) Linehan CANANDAIGUA - Mary (Moran) Linehan, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, just short of her 95th birthday, at F.F. Thompson Hospital, after a short illness. She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Linehan and Colleen (Tom) Wilmot; son, Paul (Judy) Linehan; eight grandchildren, Paul (Tami) Wilmot, Thomas Wilmot Jr., Loretta (Andrew) Conroy, James Albert Wilmot, Michael (Carolyn) Linehan, Jamie (Michael) Cesere, Kathryn (Thomas) Newberg and Peter (Kelli) Linehan; five great-grandchildren, Coleman Wilmot, Kenzie Wilmot, Hugh Newberg, Keegan Linehan and Jackson Cesere; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Coleman Linehan; brothers, William Moran, Harold Moran and Walt Moran; and sisters, Elizabeth Welch and Kathryn Gillespie. The Linehan family would like to give special thanks to dear friends, Linda Lechner and Debbie Alloco. Mary Linehan was born in Canandaigua on Aug. 9, 1918. She was the last child of the Frank and Mary Moran family. Mrs. Linehan was a pioneer of women-owned businesses. In 1966, she became the first female manufacturing representative, calling on such companies as Eastman Kodak, Bausch and Lomb and Hickok Belt Company. She later went on to become a licensed real estate agent working in Canandaigua. Mrs. Linehan was a member of St. Mary's Church. She was a former member of Oak Hill Country Club, Canandaigua Country Club and The Seaton Group. Mrs. Linehan loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends, sitting on her patio enjoying neighborhood life. There will be no calling hours. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 95 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to James P. Wilmot Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14642. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home Inc., Canandaigua.
