LONG, MARY JO, treasured wife of Charles A. Long and dearly loved mother of Charles Michael Long, Sandra Diane Evans and son-in-law, Frank Evans, passed away at home October15th, 2003 from breast cancer. A lifelong resident of Winter Garden, she married Charles Long on August 8th, 1953, and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends to honor their love for each other. As members of the First Baptist Church of Linden they reaffirmed their faith in God. Mary retired in 1993 as a microelectronics thick film supervisor at Lockheed Martin, where she began work in 1960. True to her spirit, she particularly enjoyed fishing with Charles and their grandchildren, Frankie and Cody Evans, in Chokoloskee, FL; their home away from home. The youngest of five sisters, Thelma, Alma, Ethel and Edna, Mary was born June 8th, 1936, to Henry Willis and Ollie Lee Brown. Mary will be missed by all whom were fortunate to know her. Mrs. Long is survived by her husband, Charles A. Long of Winter Garden, FL, son, Charles M. Long of Winter Garden, FL, daughter and son-in-law, andra Diane and Frank Evans of Orlando, FL, sisters Edna Parsons of Webster, FL, Ethel Walker of Chicago, IL , grandchildren Cody Evans, Frank Evans, Jr., Amber Conaway, and one great grandchild Shayla Conaway. Funeral Services for Mrs. Long will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at 10AM at BALDWIN- FAIRCHILD FUNERAL HOME - WINTER GARDEN CHAPEL, 428 E. Plant Street, Winter Garden, FL 34787, 407-656- 2233. Interment will follow at Winter Garden Cemetery. Visitation for friends will be held on Friday, October 17, 2003 from 6-9PM at the Funeral Home.
