-><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Haney, Mary Jane BuckmanBinghamton: On October 1, 2014, the world got a little dimmer with the loss of Mary Jane Haney, who passed away peacefully from complications associated with pancreatic cancer. Mary was born February 25, 1950 in Binghamton, NY to the late Robert and Joan Buckman. She married Richard Louis Haney on May 25, 1974 and was fortunate to celebrate her 40th wedding anniversary earlier this year. Mary was a ray of sunshine to all who knew her. From creating costumes for the U-E High School musicals, to organizing the annual themed picnic on bonfire night at Turner Camps in the Adirondacks, to teaching her grandsons the art of a good prank, she was always in motion. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who cherished the time she spent with all her loved ones. Mary is survived by her husband, Richard, her siblings Kathleen Feher, Robert Buckman, J. Elizabeth Hillman, and Theresa Mehringer, her three children, Rob Haney (Gayle Palka), Heather Haney (Joseph Thornhill), and Maureen Gilli (Benjamin), several cousins, nieces, nephews, and two grandchildren, Nathaniel Gilli and Daniel Gilli. Funeral services will be made at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research at lustgarten.org/donate. Arrangements by Aegis Cremation, 196 Clinton St., Binghamton, NY.
