GRIMES, MARY "SIS" age 78, of Pelham, AL, passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011. She retired after 35 years as the co-owner of Grimes Garage. She was known for her smile, her kindness and understanding to everyone she came in contact with. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Lee Grimes. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, W. M. Grimes, a son, Neal Grimes (Nida), a brother, Don Whatley, two sisters; Frankie and Faye (Jimmy), a niece, Annette, and three grandchildren; Tina, Tara, and Oneal. The family will receive friends Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home with funeral services following at 11 AM with Tom Cleveland officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. >>
