Mary Ellen McMahon July 19, 2010 Mary Ellen McMahon, of Maplewood Garden Apartments, Syracuse, NY, passed away Monday, July 19, 2010, following a brief illness. She was born May 12, 1918, at McMahon's Corners, Central Square, NY. She graduated from Powelson Business School and went to work for Bristol Laboratories on Taylor Street, where she worked for 38 years and retired as an executive secretary in 1983. Survived by nieces, Mary Anne Romano of Lake Forest, CA, Margaret Ryan (Edward) of Syracuse, NY, and Theresa Sisto (Frank) of Morgantown, WV; nephews, James McMahon (Cheryl), Thomas Coleman and John Coleman, all of Central Square, NY; 12 grandnieces and -nephews; and six great-grandnieces and -nephews. She was predeceased by her much loved and missed brothers and wives, Bernard (Helen), Lawrence (Emogene), Maurice (Anne); sister, Kathleen Coleman; and nephew, Joseph Romano. Funeral Mass for Mary Ellen will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church of Central Square, NY, at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. An hour of visitation will be held prior to the funeral Mass, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will follow at McMahon's Cemetery on Rte. 49. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
