EDWARDS Mary (King) Edwards, age 83, of Stratford, died Monday, July 19, 2010 in Connecticut Hospice, Bran-ford. She was the widow of Raymond C. Edwards. Born in Jamaica, Queens, N.Y., she was a retired bookkeeper and bursar from Sacred Heart University and St. Vincent Medical Center. She is survived by her beloved children, one daughter, Mary E. Phelan and her husband, Fred of Stratford; two sons, Robert P. Edwards of Stratford and Ray C. Edwards of Vermont; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, August 2, 2010 from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main St., Stratford. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Mary's name to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405 or North Country Home Health Hospice, 536 Cottage St., Littleton, NH 03561.
