BROWN Mary Allred Brown, 88, passed away July 15, 2006. She had served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army in the 300th General Hospital during WWII as a registered nurse. Mrs. Brown continued her career in nursing at Fayette Memorial Hospital in Connersville, IN and retired in 1982 as the Assistant Director of Nursing. She was preceded in death by Roy B. Allred in 1986 and Wm. Kavanaugh Brown in 1996. Mrs. Brown was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church. Survivors include her children, son, Barry L. (Alice) Allred of Orange Park, FL; daughter, Ardra K. Hartz of Pooler, GA; and son, Stephen W. Allred of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Carolyn (Ray) Peters of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Ryan (Merri Anna) Allred of Rockwell, TX, Cara (Heath) Richardson of Fruit Cove, FL, Jared W. (Rebekka) Hartz of West Bloomfield, MI, Jamie N. (Ricardo) Castro of Evansville, IN; great-grandchildren, Jason and Jessica Richardson, Alex Allred, Ty Hartz, and a great-granddaughter due in November. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Lakewood United Methodist Church. Mrs. Brown will be buried in Beaufort National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to either A Time To Build Expansion Program at Lakewood United Methodist Church or Community Hospice of N.E.
