>Mary Alice Hicks Loving mother and grandmother BLOOMFIELD - Former Michigan Street resident, Mary Alice Hicks, 88, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua. Mary Alice was born April 7, 1920 in Anniston, Ala. to the late W. Garvin and Lulu Mange. She received her teaching degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and taught in Red Jacket and East Bloomfield school districts for several years. She was a member of Bloomfield United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Carole (Norm) Fawcett of Victor and Cathy McClure of Canandaigua; son, Charles W. (Vicki) Hicks of Canandaigua; three grandchildren, Mark (Heather) McClure, Elizabeth Hicks and Tracy (Adam) McClure-Cummings; brother Robert (Jan) Mange of Cleveland, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Ozzie" Hicks in 2000. There will be no calling hours. Graveside funeral services will be held in East Bloomfield Cemetery at a time to be announced.
