1946 - 2014 AUGUSTA - Martha "Muffy" (MacDonald) Anderson, age 67, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, Scarborough, following a long illness. She was born in Augusta, ME on December 11, 1946 a daughter of the late James M. and Ella M. (Wheeler) MacDonald. She was a graduate of Cony High School, class of 1965 and attended Ricker College. Mrs. Anderson was employed at D.W. Adams prior to her marriage to Charles Anderson and becoming a homemaker. She had been a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Mrs. Anderson was predeceased by a brother, John MacDonald; a sister, Katherine MacDonald and a grandson. She is survived by her son, Eric Anderson of Augusta; two daughters: Kirsten Lausier of Norfolk, VA and Katrina Anderson of Fort Myers, FL; a sister, Sylvia Ragon of Manchester; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may visit on Tuesday, September 16th from 6-8 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 17th at 11 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Western Ave., Augusta. Burial and committal prayers will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Winthrop St., Augusta.
